*And yes, I do know that gentleness is missing. Each mistake makes me love it that much more!

The Froot of the Speorit
My sweet little girl may not be much of a speller, but where she lacks literary skills she makes up for in goobness! This was on our back door for over a month with no intention, on my part, to remove it. Tragically during chores one afternoon, someone took it upon themselves to wash the back door. Normally this kind of initiative would have thrilled me, the window is disgusting after all. This time it was a little sad. Thankfully I still have the picture!

Overheard
I love eavesdropping as my kids play and interact with other people. You just never know what you will over hear. For those of you that don't know Ani very well, she is not big on reality. Charis, her polar opposite, will only allow her imagination to go so far. It's a great combination.
Anya - "Charis, Charis, Charis, Charis,...CHARIS!"
Charis - "What?"
Anya - "Charis, pretend I don't know your name."
.....
Anya - "Papa did you know that we have an INDIAN in our family?"
Papa - "We do?"
Anya - "Yeah it's Aunt Monica, she's Indian. That means she's not even a human."
.....
Anya - (Speaking in the lowest voice she can muster.) "Hey Charis pretend I'm a boy."
Charis - "Okay."
Anya - "My name is Jared"
Charis - "Hi Jared, why are you wearing a dress?"
Anya - "Charis, Charis, Charis, Charis,...CHARIS!"
Charis - "What?"
Anya - "Charis, pretend I don't know your name."

Conversation with Anya
Me: You ready to go make some bread?
Anya: Yeah! I love helping you in the kitchen. I want to learn how to make everything in the world.
Me: That's wonderful. Why do you think it's a good idea for you to learn how to cook?
Anya: So I can make you chicken noodle soup (we've all been sick here) and then I can put it in a can. I'm gonna work at ALDI!!
Me: You are!?
Anya: Yeah, I'm gonna be the one that puts all the food into the cans and I'll work at the very first desk! And you know what Mama?
Me: What Sweetie?
Anya: You have a BIG bottom.
Me: Thank you, Anya. (What more can one say after a conversation like that?)
